By using the TeqID Site and/or Application, You acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agree to the collection, storage, use, and transfer of Your Personal Data as described in this Policy.

We don’t ask You for Personal Data unless we truly need it. We collect Personal Data to be able to provide You with secure, fast and efficient services. In order to do so, we must collect information to identify Users.
Please note, we collect and process Your Personal Data on the basis of Your consent and legitimate interests. Such collecting and processing of Your Personal Data will not harm any of Your rights and interests, and We will not use Your Personal Data for any other purposes.
We may also collect Your Personal Data that is collected automatically such as through the use of cookies and other technologies as described below in this Policy.
The Personal Data that We collect depends on the context of Your interactions with Us, the choices You make and the services You use. The Personal Data we collect about You may include the following:
Information that You provide:
a) Creating a Personal Account
When You register and create a Personal Account in TeqID, We collect Personal Data that You provide to Us directly. The processing of such data is necessary to create and manage Your Personal Account, provide You with access to the functionality of the Site and/or Application, and perform Our obligations under the Terms of Use.
We collect the following categories of data:
1) Email address.
We use Your email address to create and administer Your Personal Account, authenticate Your access, ensure account security, and send You service-related communications, including account activation, updates, and notifications related to Your use of TeqID. Without providing an email address, it is not possible to create a Personal Account.
2) Professional profile information.
During registration, You may provide information about Your professional role or area of activity, as well as, optionally, Your company name. We use this data to configure Your Personal Account and ensure the relevance of TeqID functionality.
3) Information about professional interests and requests.
As part of the Personal Account setup, You provide information about the types of opportunities You are interested in, industries, geographic preferences, and other relevant parameters. You may also provide free-text descriptions of desired opportunities or professional requests. We use this data to configure the service and generate personalized recommendations.
4) Additional information provided voluntarily.
You may choose to provide additional information, such as how You learned about TeqID or other optional responses during registration. Providing such data is voluntary, and it is used solely to improve the Service and user experience.
We process only such Personal Data as is necessary for the purposes described above and do not use it in a manner incompatible with those purposes. Personal Data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill these purposes or to comply with applicable legal obligations.
By providing Your Personal Data during registration, You confirm that such information is accurate and up to date, and that You have the right to provide it.
Information relating to the User’s professional profile, professional interests, professional requests, and other professional information voluntarily provided by the User during registration or while using TeqID shall collectively constitute Professional Information as defined in the Terms of Use.
b) Marketing
You may provide Us with Your explicit consent to process Your Personal Data in order to share information about Our activities and services with You. This includes receiving marketing materials via email. Please note that You can unsubscribe from receiving marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link in the email or by updating Your preferences in Your account settings.
However, even if You unsubscribe from marketing communications, We may still send You non-marketing emails when required by law or under the terms of Our agreement with You. These may include notifications about changes to Our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, important updates to Our software, or other legally mandated communications necessary for providing the services.
c) Profiling and Automated Processing
Profiling means any form of automated processing of Personal Data consisting of the use of such data to analyze or evaluate certain aspects relating to professional interests, professional contacts, business relationships, professional opportunities, preferences, or other information relevant to the professional networking functionality of TeqID.
TeqID may conduct profiling and other forms of automated processing for purposes of providing the core functionality of the Site and/or Application, including analysis of the User’s professional network of contacts, generation of recommendations, identification of relevant professional and business opportunities, potential introduction paths, professional connections, analytical insights, and other personalized TeqID functionality.
For these purposes, the Company may process the following categories of Personal Data:
information provided during the creation and use of the Account;
Professional Information;
information regarding the use of the Site and/or Application;
technical information collected through cookies, browser local storage, and similar technologies;
information provided during interactions with the AI Agent, chat functionality, or other AI-powered features;
information regarding professional interests, industries, business objectives, geographic preferences, and other parameters voluntarily provided by the User.
The Company may use automated technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning models, analytical tools, and AI-powered functionality, to analyze such data and generate personalized recommendations, potential professional introductions, relevant business opportunities, introduction paths, and other informational content made available through TeqID.
This means that certain recommendations, professional contacts, or informational outputs may be generated automatically based on the analysis of information provided by the User, Professional Information and the User’s interactions with TeqID.
The Company may also use professional or publicly available business-related information from lawful sources to improve the relevance and accuracy of recommendations and TeqID functionality to the extent permitted by applicable law.
AI-powered functionality may generate outputs, recommendations, or insights that are incomplete, inaccurate, or not suitable for a particular purpose. Users should independently evaluate any information provided through TeqID.
Profiling and automated processing within TeqID are used solely to improve the relevance, efficiency, and functionality of professional networking services and are not used to make decisions that independently produce legal effects concerning the User or similarly significantly affect the User within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
The User has the right to:
obtain information regarding the use of profiling and automated processing within TeqID;
request an explanation of recommendations or results generated through TeqID;
object to certain types of profiling or personalization;
request restriction of the processing of Personal Data; and
exercise other rights available under GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
Where profiling is based on the User’s consent, such consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
The Company conducts profiling and automated processing in compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
To exercise rights related to profiling or automated processing, the User may contact the Company using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy.
d) Payment data
We use Stripe as the third-party payment processor to process card payments for the Teq ID services. We do not store and cannot use Your credit card information or other payment details. Your credit card details are encrypted and securely stored by Your payment operator to enable Us to automatically bill You.
When You make a payment for access to TeqID functionality, any credit card information, including the cardholder name and billing details, that You provide as part of Your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe as our payment processor through its service. We at no time receive or store your full credit card information. Stripe may use your payment information in accordance with their own Privacy Policy here: https://stripe.com/en-pt/privacy.
e) Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect the certain information about You and the device You use to visit the Site and/or Application. For example, when You use our Site and/or Application, we will log Your IP address, operating system type, browser type, referring Site, the page You viewed, and the dates/times when You accessed the Site and/or Application. We may also collect information about the actions You take when using our Site and/or Application, such as links clicked.
f) Browser Local Storage Files
Browser local storage is a file created by a Site in Your device. You may erase Browser Local Storage collected on our Site by deleting Your browser’s history. However, You will not be able to erase the Browser local storage files collected during Your usage of the TeqID services as this may disable us to provide You with the TeqID services. We collect “Session Files” information in order to enable You to log in the session and “Intercom-state Files” to enable the communication session.
g) Other information that We may collect
The major part of the information that We collect is received directly from You. Sometimes we may collect Personal Data about You from other sources, such as publicly available materials or trusted third parties, such as our marketing and research partners. We use this information to supplement the Personal Data We already have about You, to better inform, personalize and improve Our Site and Application, as well as to verify the Personal Data you have provided.
Some of this information is collected using cookies and similar tracking technologies, which are described in detail in the TeqID Cookies Policy.
The type of information we collect will depend on Your interaction with the TeqID.

interact with TeqID functionality, recommendations, AI-powered functionality, or other features;
use chat functionality, AI Agent features, or related services;

interact with cookies, browser local storage, or similar technologies; or
otherwise interact with the Site, Application, or the Company.
Such information may include technical data, usage data, device information, interaction history, analytical information, and other information necessary to provide, improve, secure, support, and personalize TeqID functionality.
3. Personal Data Obtained from Other Sources
We may also obtain Personal Data from other lawful sources, including:
Professional Information and other information voluntarily uploaded by the User;
professional or publicly available business-related information from professional platforms, business websites, public sources, or other lawful sources;
service providers and technology providers supporting the functionality of the Site and/or Application;
analytics, communications, and marketing partners;
business partners and services integrated with TeqID functionality;
other third parties assisting in providing analytics, AI-powered functionality, recommendations, or other TeqID functionality; and
publicly available databases, open-source sources, and other information lawfully available in the public domain.
When We receive Personal Data from other sources, We take reasonable measures to ensure the proper processing of such information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
3. WHY WE NEED YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We process Your Personal Data only when We have an appropriate legal basis under applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.
1. Processing of Personal Data Based on Consent
During registration or while using the Site and/or Application, You may provide Us with Your consent to process Your Personal Data for the following purposes:

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.

Where the Company is legally required to retain certain Personal Data, such data may be retained only for the period necessary to comply with the applicable legal obligations.
If You wish to stop using TeqID, You may request deletion of Your Account using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy.
Following deletion of the Account, the Company may retain certain Personal Data for a limited period where necessary:
to allow restoration of the Account;
to comply with legal obligations;
to resolve disputes;
to ensure security and prevent fraud or abuse; or
to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Company.
2. Processing of Personal Data Based on Legitimate Interests
The Company may also process Personal Data on the basis of its legitimate interests where such processing is necessary for the operation, maintenance, development, and improvement of TeqID and does not override the rights, freedoms, and interests of the User.
In particular, the Company may process Personal Data on the basis of legitimate interests for purposes including:
providing and improving TeqID functionality;
analyzing the User’s professional network of contacts;
generating recommendations, professional introductions, networking insights, and other professional networking functionality;
ensuring the security, stability, and proper operation of the Site and/or Application;
detecting, preventing, and investigating fraud, abuse, or violations of the Terms of Use;
maintaining and improving AI-powered functionality, analytics, and personalization features;
providing User support and communicating with Users;
conducting internal analytics, statistics, and service improvement activities; and
protecting the rights, security, and legitimate interests of the Company, Users, and third parties.
When relying on legitimate interests as a legal basis, the Company takes into account:
the nature and scope of the Personal Data processed;
the professional and business context in which the information is used;
the reasonable expectations of individuals regarding the use of professional or publicly available business-related information in the context of professional networking;
the potential impact of such processing on the rights and freedoms of data subjects; and
the existence of appropriate technical, organizational, and legal safeguards designed to protect Personal Data.
The Company does not rely on legitimate interests as a legal basis for processing special categories of Personal Data or for activities that disproportionately interfere with the rights and freedoms of data subjects.
You have the right to object to the processing of Your Personal Data carried out on the basis of the Company’s legitimate interests. In such cases, the Company will review Your request and cease the relevant processing unless the Company has compelling legitimate grounds to continue such processing in accordance with applicable law.
For the purpose of demonstrating that consent has been validly obtained or withdrawn, the Company may retain records relating to the User’s consent, including the date and time of consent, the version of the applicable documents, the method by which consent was provided, and other technical information reasonably necessary to evidence such consent, in accordance with applicable law.
4. HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION
We may collect, use, process, combine, retain, and otherwise process Personal Data for the following purposes:
providing, operating, maintaining, and improving TeqID and its functionality;
providing Users with professional networking functionality, including analysis of professional networks of contacts, generation of recommendations, professional introductions, networking insights, and relevant professional or business opportunities;
processing and analyzing Professional Networking Data and information voluntarily provided in accordance with the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy;
operating, supporting, personalizing, and improving AI-powered functionality, analytics, recommendations, and other TeqID features;
creating, maintaining, and administering Accounts;
communicating with Users, providing support, responding to requests, and sending service-related or account-related communications;
sending newsletters, updates, marketing communications, or promotional materials where permitted under applicable law or based on the User’s consent where such consent is required;
conducting analytics, research, testing, service improvements, and internal business operations;
monitoring, maintaining, securing, and protecting the functionality, integrity, and security of the Site and/or Application;
detecting, preventing, investigating, and responding to fraud, abuse, security incidents, unauthorized activity, or violations of the Terms of Use;
enforcing this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the Company, Users, and third parties, and resolving disputes;
complying with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and compliance obligations;
fulfilling any other purpose for which the User provides Personal Data; and

Please note that certain Personal Data is necessary to provide TeqID functionality. If the User chooses not to provide certain information, some features or functionality of TeqID may be unavailable or limited.
If the User no longer wishes to use TeqID, the User may request deletion of the Account and Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
5. HOW WE SHARE/TRANSFER AND STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
In addition to the situations expressly described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, the Company may share or provide access to Personal Data in the following circumstances:
Affiliates and Corporate Transactions
We may share Personal Data with Our affiliates, companies under common control, or other entities within the Company’s corporate group for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Service Providers and Technology Providers
The Company may share Personal Data with third-party service providers that provide services or technologies necessary for the operation of TeqID.
Such providers may assist Us with, among other things:
hosting and cloud infrastructure;
authentication and account management;
data storage and processing;
analytics and performance monitoring;
AI-powered functionality and automated processing;
communications and user support;
payment processing;
security, monitoring, and fraud prevention; and
other operational or technological services necessary for the operation of TeqID.
Such providers are granted access to Personal Data only to the extent necessary to perform their functions and are required to process Personal Data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and contractual obligations relating to confidentiality and security.

OpenAI – provision of artificial intelligence functionality and processing of user requests.
LangSmith/LangChain – support, monitoring, and optimization of AI-powered functionality.
MailerSend – sending transactional and service-related email communications.
Stripe – payment processing and management of payment transactions.
Firebase / Google – user authentication, cloud services, data storage, and technical support for the operation of the Platform.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) – cloud infrastructure, hosting, and data storage services.
Sentry – error monitoring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and improvement of the Platform's stability and performance.
App Store Connect – distribution of the mobile application, application management, and usage analytics.
Google Analytics – website analytics and user behavior tracking, including traffic analysis, conversion measurement, and performance reporting.
Meta Platforms – advertising, audience targeting, remarketing, and marketing campaign performance measurement across Meta services.
LinkedIn Corporation – professional networking, lead generation, advertising, and business communication services.
Google Ads – online advertising services, campaign management, audience targeting, and conversion tracking.
TikTok Ads – advertising platform for audience targeting, campaign optimization, and marketing performance analytics.
X Ads (Twitter Ads) – advertising and audience engagement services, including campaign management and performance measurement.
Web2wave – website development, hosting, maintenance, and related technical support services.
Amplitude – product analytics, user behavior analysis, customer journey tracking, and product performance optimization.
LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY “Netra” – a data services provider that assists with customer relationship management, marketing, and business development by providing data analytics, enrichment, segmentation, profiling, and business intelligence services.
We require all service providers to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data and to process such data only in accordance with our instructions or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
The User understands and agrees that information processed through TeqID may be transferred to and processed in multiple jurisdictions where the Company, its affiliates, infrastructure providers, or authorized service providers operate, subject to appropriate safeguards required under applicable data protection laws.
Use of AI and Large Language Model (LLM) Providers
To provide and improve TeqID functionality, the Company may use artificial intelligence technologies, machine learning systems, and large language models (LLM) provided by third-party technology providers.
Such technologies may be used, among other things, for:
generation of recommendations, networking insights, and introduction paths;
operation of AI-powered functionality;
automation of certain User requests and processes; and
improvement of TeqID functionality and service relevance.
Where Personal Data is processed by third-party AI or LLM providers, the Company takes reasonable measures to ensure an appropriate level of protection for Personal Data and contractual restrictions regarding the use of such data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Disclosures Without User Consent
We may disclose Personal Data without separate User consent:
where required by applicable law;
in response to lawful requests from governmental authorities or legal proceedings;
to establish, exercise, or defend the rights and legitimate interests of the Company;
to detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, security incidents, unlawful activity, or violations of the Terms of Use; or
to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company, Users, or third parties.
Storage and International Transfers of Personal Data
Personal Data may be stored and processed in countries where the Company or its service providers operate.

6. HOW YOU CAN ACCESS AND CORRECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA
If You have registered a Personal Account with TeqID, You may request to update or correct Your Personal Data by contacting Us via the email address provided in this Privacy Policy.
If You would like to request access to Your Personal Data or have any other questions related to the processing of Your Personal Data, You may submit Your request by emailing Us at: support@teqid.org. We will review Your request and may require You to provide additional information in order to verify Your identity. We will respond to Your request within 15 business days.
7. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We take the security of Your Personal Data seriously. We take all necessary steps to help protect Personal Data that We collect against loss, misuse and unauthorized intrusion and disclosure, and these steps without limitation include encryption techniques and authentication procedures. TeqID has been designed to, among other things, meet the objectives of U.S. data privacy laws, as well as the requirements of European Union GDPR.
We care about Your privacy and take commercially reasonable steps to help protect and secure the information We collect and store about You, such as data encryption and pseudonymization. All access to the TeqID services is encrypted using industry-standard transport layer security technology (TLS). When You enter Your information, We encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We also use HTTP strict transport security to add an additional layer of protection for Our users.
Please be aware that despite these steps, We do not guarantee that Your Personal Data will be completely protected. For example, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Any transmission of Your Personal Data is at Your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site and/or Application, including the illegal acts of third parties (such as criminal hacking).
Besides, We use:

All the Personal Data sent to Us from our servers is encrypted via the industry-standard TLS 1.2, making sure user interaction with our servers is safely encrypted.Data at Rest
To ensure all stored Personal Data is safe and enclosed from any third parties, We use the industry-standard AES-256 encryption algorithm to encrypt data on our server.
Where Your Personal Data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States, We ensure that such transfers are carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws and are subject to appropriate safeguards designed to ensure an adequate level of protection.
In particular, where applicable, such transfers may be based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which is recognized as providing an adequate level of protection for Personal Data transferred from the European Union to participating organizations in the United States. In addition, where required, We implement supplementary safeguards, including the execution of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms, and assess the legal framework of the destination country to ensure that Your Personal Data remains adequately protected.
We take all reasonably necessary steps to ensure that Your Personal Data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and that no transfer of Personal Data takes place to an organization or a country unless there are appropriate controls in place, including the security of Your Personal Data and other relevant safeguards.

8. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA
According to the storage limitation principle of data processing, we will store Your Personal Data only as long as it is required to fulfill the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy or until You ask Us to remove Your Personal Data.
If You would like to remove Your Personal Data collected by Us, You can request the deletion of Your Personal account in Your account (“Delete profile”). Please note that You will not be able to use TeqID anymore. If You decide to terminate Your use of the TeqID and delete Your Personal account permanently, We will remove all Your Personal Data from our database within 30 business days after receiving Your request.
We will retain Your Personal Data for no longer than three years after Your last log in in Your Account. We will also retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if We are required to retain Your Personal Data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
We store anonymized data for internal analytics purposes indefinitely.
9. RIGHTS OF EU RESIDENTS
If You are a resident in the European Economic Area, You have the following rights in respect to Your Personal Data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that We hold:
- Right to object. You have a right to object to any processing based on our legitimate interests where there are grounds related to Your particular situation. You can object to marketing activities for any reason whatsoever.

You should be aware that You are entitled under EU GDPR to withdraw Your consent where that has been given, at any time.
